Automatic Enrollment
Insurance coverage has always been a mandatory part of the registration process at WJU. All students carrying 6 units or more are automatically enrolled in the student medical plan and charged accordingly. Students found in non-compliance may result in disciplinary action up to and including dismissal.
Procedure to Decline
In order to waive out of this program, our insurance broker requires that you submit three documents to the Student Life Department:
- A completed waiver form.
Insurance Waiver Form - Spring 09
Insurance Waiver Form - Fall 09 - Submit copy of your insurance card, front and back.
- Submit a letter of eligibility from your insurance company that states your name, policy number and effective dates of coverage.

They provide online service support regarding claim management (www.renstudent.com) as well as names and contact information for local area contract providers (doctors and emergency care facilities). This is called the Beech Street PPO listing. Design your own personal medical directory that can be printed out for future use.
